Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. In this role, you will be responsible for various in-store tasks such as merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and ensuring the store is well-maintained. By providing exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with our team, you will contribute to enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize product displays.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers effectively.
• Communicate clearly with team members and store management.
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize discrepancies.
• Follow company policies and procedures while maintaining data security.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service.
• Skilled in efficiently operating a cash register and store equipment.
• Capable of following cleaning standards and company protocols.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
• Meet requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages as per state and local regulations.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior retail experience is a plus.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
