Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for various tasks including merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining a clean store environment to ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Handle customer purchases, perform general cleaning tasks, and maintain well-organized shelves
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers effectively
• Collaborate with team members and communicate with store management
• Give feedback on products, inventory issues, and scanning errors
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses
• Follow company policies, uphold security and confidentiality standards
• Perform any additional assigned duties

Physical Demands

• Stock and arrange merchandise
• Handle items weighing up to 45 pounds
• Execute various physical tasks around the store

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years
• Proficient in providing prompt and courteous service
• Capable of operating a cash register efficiently and safely handling equipment
• Understanding of company policies and ability to communicate effectively
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently
• Meet local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail experience is a plus
• Combination of education and experience is acceptable
