Truss Designer (on-site)

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Truss Designer to join Better Living Inc. As an on-site Roof & Floor Truss and/or Wall Panel Designer, you will be responsible for reading architectural prints to create layouts conforming to current design practices.

Responsibilities

• Design roof and floor trusses using MiTek software, ensuring accuracy and optimization.
• Create placement layouts for trusses and wall panels based on architectural prints.
• Specify necessary hardware and maintain job tracking sheets.
• Provide sales and customer support.
• Maintain orderly plans and attend required meetings.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with MiTek Management program.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and calculate loads.
• Knowledge of local codes related to truss design.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
