Utility Inspection Technician

Job Description

Join our team at Omark Consultants Inc as a Gas Leak Survey Technician to ensure safety in gas distribution systems across New England. As a Leak Detection Specialist, you will play a vital role in inspecting gas meters and underground distribution lines for leaks and corrosion, maintaining public safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections of gas meters and underground lines for leaks and corrosion.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Identify and report abnormal operating conditions.
• Perform daytime shifts with the possibility of occasional weekend work.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift heavy items, and work in various terrains and weather conditions.
• Proficiency with simple hand tools, utility maps, and technology devices.
• Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and ability to pass drug screening and criminal background check.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
