Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking Warehouse Team Members to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour. As a Warehouse Team Member, you will play a crucial role in the movement and distribution of merchandise, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all operations.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position:

This position involves storing, moving, and distributing products efficiently. Additionally, you will provide training to other employees and maintain a high level of professionalism in all customer interactions.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

Merchandise Movement:

• Condense and rearrange merchandise for optimal space utilization.
• Maintain product displays and prepare merchandise for various purposes.
• Utilize point of sale (POS) systems to manage inventory flow.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Receive incoming shipments and prepare outgoing merchandise.

Training:

Lead by example and provide training to fellow employees.

Customer Service:

Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors to maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Safety:

Adhere to safety protocols, operate equipment responsibly, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (or working towards completion).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
• Experience with POS systems is desirable.
