Auxiliary Operator Trainee

Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious Auxiliary Operator Trainee to join Constellation Energy, the nation's leading clean energy producer. As an Auxiliary Operator Trainee, you will work under direct supervision, performing operational activities including equipment evaluation, system operations, and administrative tasks. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of nuclear station equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, control, and operate nuclear station equipment for optimal performance.
• Start, stop, and adjust equipment as necessary to maintain station capability.
• Respond to plant alarms and indicators, taking action as required in emergency situations.
• Operate communication equipment and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of Power Plant experience, including 1 year in a Nuclear Power Plant.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related science program, OR equivalent experience.

Starting salary: $41.20/hour

Note: Candidates must pass the Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) Examination and meet testing requirements.
