Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Madison County Jail in Madison, Florida. GENESYS Health Alliance is a leader in quality healthcare initiatives within correctional settings, dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare while ensuring guaranteed performance and client satisfaction.
The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare services to detainees, administering medical care for acute and chronic conditions, as well as emergency treatments. The ideal candidate will have graduated from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program and possess current LPN licensure in the state of employment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and provide medical care for detainees in a correctional setting.
- Administer medications as directed by medical providers and adhere to healthcare policies.
- Carry out nursing care plans under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
- Ensure the safety and security of the medical area during procedures.
- Conduct initial and ongoing screenings of detained individuals.
- Communicate treatment protocols and procedures to patients.
Requirements
- Graduation from a nationally accredited LPN program.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of employment.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends.
- Experience in corrections nursing is a plus.
