Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse I to join our team at Sinai Hospital. As a Staff Nurse in the Adult Outpatient Psych department, you will play a crucial role in providing evaluation, medication administration, patient education, and group intervention services to our diverse adult and geriatric population. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of Inpatient Behavioral Health experience, with OP Behavioral Health experience being a plus. Current/Valid RN License in Maryland or Compact License is required, along with BLS Certification through the American Heart Association. Experience with an EMR system, preferably Cerner, is desired, and ANCC Psychiatric/Mental Health Certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Participate in program-based and behavioral health quality improvement activities.
- Evaluate patients and develop appropriate care plans.
- Supervise staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Administer psychotropic medications as needed.
- Provide patient education and support group interventions.
Requirements
- Current/Valid RN License in Maryland or Compact License.
- Minimum 1 year of Inpatient Behavioral Health experience.
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Experience with EMR systems, preferably Cerner.
- ANCC Psychiatric/Mental Health Certification preferred.
