Job Description
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a 2024 Summer Intern in the Property & Casualty Claims department at State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. This internship opportunity offers a meaningful experience to students completing their sophomore or junior year, with the potential for a two-summer commitment.
Responsibilities
- Gain insight into various areas of claims operations.
- Learn claim handling processes such as investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and policy application.
- Work alongside claims teams on medical, property, liability, and injury-related issues.
- Participate in mentorship programs and engage with senior leadership.
- Contribute to volunteer activities within the community.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and attention to detail skills.
- Must have a strong customer orientation.
- Authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.
Internship Information
- Hybrid work environment.
- Offices located in Dunwoody, GA; Richardson, TX; and Tempe, AZ.
- Internship dates: May 20, 2024 – August 2, 2024.
- Pay: $20.00 per hour.
- Working hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
- Candidates within a commutable distance of the office locations should apply.
- Selected candidates will have on-demand interviews in the fall of 2023.
