Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor to join our team at Cedar House Life Change Center. As a non-profit organization, we are committed to providing top-quality substance use treatment to our clients. Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload and provide group and individual recovery services.
• Engage in community outreach, education, and prevention presentations.
• Update necessary documentation for program and client purposes.
• Collaborate with the Residential Coordinator on program status.
• Enforce all house rules and regulations to ensure resident safety.
• Attend court with clients when required.
• Pursue professional advancement and maintain required certifications.
• Continuously update knowledge and skills related to substance dependency counseling.
• Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of a drug studies certificate program.
• Certification under CAADE, CCAPP, or CADTP.
• Minimum one year of experience working in a residential setting.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Understanding of alcohol/drug addiction and recovery.
• Minimum of 2 years of continuous sobriety if in recovery.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Compensation: $22.5-$30 per hour
