Kids Recreation Supervisor - Summer Season

Job Description

Moonlight Basin is seeking a dedicated Kids Recreation Supervisor for the Summer Season. The successful candidate will work closely with the Kids Recreation Counselors to develop and lead all aspects of summer recreational programming for children, ensuring a fun and safe environment. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the memorable experiences of campers and their families, against the breathtaking backdrop of Montana’s wilderness.

Responsibilities

• Supervise various Kids Recreation programs, including Camp Moonlight, Moonlight Mini-Camp, Yurt Camp Outs, and special summer events with aid of Kids Recreation Manager.
• Develop and implement lesson and activity plans for children in the program.
• Act as the point of contact for parents of participating campers.
• Ensure accurate completion of children’s information/release forms and attendance records.
• Predict program needs including inventory, space usage, staff scheduling, and organizational details.
• Handle reservation requests, take incoming phone calls, and maintain accurate records for charging and communication with parents.

Requirements

• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Recreation Management or similar degree, or a combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1-year supervisory experience in childcare preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain prior to start date; Wilderness First Aid preferred.
• Full availability including potential weekends and holidays.
