Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Cargill is looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our protein and salt business in Nebraska City, NE. Working as part of a global team committed to responsible and sustainable food production, you will play an integral role in ensuring the safety, quality, and maintenance of production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance on production machinery using hand tools.
• Ensuring food safety and quality.
• Maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
• Responding to radio calls from other departments for maintenance-related actions.
• Communicating with other departments and maintenance shifts to ensure a proper pass down of maintenance issues.
• Documenting daily work assigned and troubleshooting equipment with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal & written).
• Physical agility to perform job duties, including bending, lifting, climbing, and more.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions using personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Operational and troubleshooting skills for production equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous production or maintenance experience.
• Meat processing or food handling experience.
