Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at Suburban Pediatrics entails providing high-quality care to pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients in an office setting. LPNs are vital in assisting patients in pursuing a healthy future, offering clinical care and support to the providers, patients, and their families. Responsibilities

• Demonstrate customer satisfaction by positively interacting with patients, parents, providers, colleagues, and other members of the patient care team in a respectful, courteous, confidential, and caring manner.
• Provide and assist with direct patient care, including exam/procedure prep, screenings, initial assessments, patient exams, and clinical procedures.
• Efficiently administer and document medications, immunizations, and obtain specimens as ordered by the providers.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures and conduct catheterizations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current NYS Licensure and registration required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• One year experience preferred in pediatric, clinical, or office nursing.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with medical record technology. MEDENT experience/knowledge preferred.
