Logistics Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Logistics Specialist to join our Supply Chain Team at The Town Dock. As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing all third-party domestic logistics movement, distribution, and storage transactions. Your responsibilities will include ensuring on-time delivery of fresh and frozen orders to customers, maximizing the customer service experience, and optimizing cost efficiency.

Principal Duties

• Own the customer-facing domestic logistics process.
• Collaborate with outside dry and cold storage and provide necessary documentation for deliveries.
• Conduct data collection, entry, and reporting.
• Engage with carriers, maintain vendor relationships, and negotiate freight rates.
• Work closely with internal teams to fulfill customer orders.
• Manage shipping errors, invoicing, and credit processing.
• Support international logistics activities when required.
• Develop and report on department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with the Sales team on projections and strategic planning.
• Utilize ERP systems and other tools effectively.
• Provide industry feedback and strategy to the Global Logistics Manager.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in domestic logistics.
• Self-starter with excellent time management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and drive process improvements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and willingness to learn ERP systems.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Commitment to continuous learning, teamwork, and ethical behavior.

Compensation

$26-28 hourly wage.
