Job Description

The Machine Operator will perform work associated with the operation of assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. The responsibilities include tending to one or more machine types and special purpose machines to produce, wash, and inspect parts to specification among other duties.

Responsibilities

• Tend to one or more machine types and special purpose machines to produce, wash, and inspect parts to specification.
• Follow quality and packaging procedures to ensure part is within customer specifications.
• Maintain good daily operation of equipment by using required coolant, oil, solvent, rust preventative, soap, filter paper, gas, water, and air in the proper amounts.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments.
• Maintain productivity boards at the work center and enter production, scrap, downtime, and daily notes into the Plex system.
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.

Experience and Education

Perform work under general supervision, handle moderately complex issues and problems. Require 3 to 12 months of experience.

Competencies/Skills

Ability to read, comprehend and apply simple to complex instructions. Basic verbal and written communication skills. Basic mathematical skills including basic computer operation.
