Maintenance Electrician, Iowa Premium, Tama, Iowa

Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Iowa Premium, located in Tama, Iowa. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing electrical components, as well as installing new equipment, running electrical conduit, and ensuring compliance with safety and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical components
• Dismantle and remove electrical cables and wiring
• Install new equipment
• Run electrical conduit
• Understand and comply with all safety and electrical codes
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Able to read blueprints
• Previous electrical experience - preferably in an industrial setting
• Able to drive a forklift or willing to undertake forklift training
• Able to work outside in all weather
• Able to lift up to 75-100 pounds
• Able to read and write
• Able to use basic mathematics
• Able to stand/walk on concrete/stairs for the duration of the shift
• Able to pass a mechanical aptitude test
• Able to use ladders, lift trucks, various hand and power tools, and work with a group or unsupervised
• Ability to work various shifts and 'on-call' as needed
• Block Certified or Journeyman Electrician preferred
• Experience using 2-way radios, wearing task-specific Personal Protective Equipment, and keeping work areas clean and tidy at all times
