By applying electrical theory and related knowledge, the Maintenance Technician assists engineers in the design, evaluation, and repair of electrical equipment. Responsibilities include providing technical assistance and resolution for electrical or engineering problems, assembling electrical and electronic systems and prototypes, collaborating with engineers to identify and solve developmental problems, analyzing and interpreting test information, installing, repairing, modifying, and upgrading industrial control systems, conducting inspections for quality control and assurance programs, preparing project cost and work-time estimates, adhering to 5S standards, and following all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.

Experience and Education

This position typically requires accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 0 to 2 years of experience. The Maintenance Technician performs work under direct supervision, handles basic issues and problems, and possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
