Network Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Network Systems Engineer to join the team at ATN International Inc. The position, based in Castle Rock, CO, involves managing the performance, security, and reliability of our telecommunications network to provide essential communication services to underserved communities in rural Southwest regions. The role requires proactive troubleshooting of network issues, configuring network management systems, and ensuring network stability in remote areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage network performance, security, and reliability using network management tools.
• Administer Privileged Access Management applications for network elements.
• Identify and resolve network-related issues to maintain uninterrupted services for rural customers.
• Configure and maintain network management systems tailored to rural community needs.
• Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports for compliance.
• Plan and execute network system upgrades to optimize network stability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux System Administration experience.
• Proficient in network monitoring tools and SNMP configurations.
• Skilled in scripting languages like Perl, BASH, PowerShell, and AutoIT.
• Database experience with MySQL, PostgresDB, or InfluxDB.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies and protocols.
• Knowledge of programming/markup languages such as Python and HTML.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Windows Server Administration.
• Familiarity with PAM systems and data analytics tools.
• Experience with container management systems like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of centralized log management and multi-zone DNS management.
