Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health on a full-time basis during afternoons. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology. Responsibilities
- Performing quality diagnostic exams with precision and efficiency after verifying patient identification and physician orders.
- Obtaining accurate patient histories and documenting them in medical records.
- Monitoring patients during procedures to ensure their safety.
- Utilizing age-appropriate methods for radiographic and patient care procedures.
- Relaying STAT requests to radiologists promptly.
- Effectively communicating with various stakeholders within and outside the department.
- Proficiently operating diagnostic imaging equipment and following protocols in case of malfunctions.
- Minimizing radiation exposure using ALARA standards.
- Providing procedural information and education to patients and families.
- Contributing to departmental operations, quality assurance, and training initiatives.
- Utilizing hospital computer systems for order verification and information transfer to PACS.
- Maintaining competency in various diagnostic areas.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) and CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration required.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
