General Summary
Under supervision, the Radiology Technologist will perform diagnostic exams in general radiology, maintain quality imaging standards, and adhere to radiation protection principles. They will also provide clinical instruction, follow patient-centered care practices, and contribute to the advancement of medicine through their work.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality diagnostic exams after patient verification.
- Obtain accurate patient history and ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and peers.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and adhere to quality control standards.
- Provide patient education prior to exams and assist in training activities.
- Maintain competency in various radiology procedures and ensure equipment cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT certification required upon hire.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA certification required upon hire.
