Job Description

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated Patient Care Services Team. As an RN in our Emergency Department, you will oversee and provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. Our RNs play a pivotal role in monitoring patient progress, preparing patients for discharge, and actively participating in shared decision-making activities.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegate, assess, provide, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge.
• Report directly to senior unit management and participate in shared decision-making activities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
