Job Description

This position at FATHOM involves coordinating all accounting and reporting processes, including journal entries, reconciliation of account balances, and support for transactions. Additionally, the role includes preparing analysis and reports for FATHOM Finance leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Syteline ERP conversion for accounting and reporting processes and become a subject matter expert.
  • Prepare journal entries to record monthly transactions in the general ledger, ensuring support for each entry.
  • Assist with monthly close, reconciling account balances, reviewing account variances vs. prior periods, and ensuring accuracy and completion of accounting records.
  • Account for payroll and related activity, accruals, goodwill, intangible assets, warrants, equity, and intercompany transactions.
  • Perform advanced analysis on accounting activity and recommend areas for process improvement.

Preferred/Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success as an Accounting Specialist.
