Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 yearly

About the Position

As a Sous Chef at the Riviera Country Club, you will collaborate with the Executive Chef to oversee food quality and daily kitchen operations for banquet, halfway house, and restaurant kitchens. This pivotal role demands culinary expertise, leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on menu development with the Executive Chef
  • Supervise food preparation and maintain consistency
  • Ensure kitchen efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards
  • Lead and mentor culinary team members
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control
  • Contribute to menu planning for special events
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff for a seamless dining experience

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end culinary environment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Creative menu development and passion for culinary arts
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen management
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and work in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures. Endurance for long hours and physical agility are essential.
