Job Description
We are currently looking to hire a Special Procedure Tech to join the Corewell Health team on a full-time basis. As a Special Procedure Tech, you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures, assisting physicians, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care. This role involves tasks such as IV starts, patient preparation, hemodynamic monitoring, equipment operation, procedure documentation, vascular access site management, and patient/family education.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during invasive procedures and provide technical support.
- Record hemodynamic/physiologic waveforms and calculations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Maintain radiation safety standards and perform quality assurance checks on equipment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiography or cardiovascular technologist program.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab, or IR.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certification.
- Strong communication, computer, and customer service skills.
