Under general supervision, the Special Procedure Tech at Corewell Health provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, monitoring patients, operating equipment, and ensuring quality patient care. The Tech must be able to perform IV starts, prep patients, document procedures, manage vascular access sites, and provide patient/family education.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during procedures.
- Provide technical support and quality patient care.
- Operate equipment and document procedures.
- Manage vascular access sites and educate patients/families.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiography or Cardiovascular Technology.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab, or IR.
- BLS certification and additional certifications as required.
- Basic computer skills and exceptional communication abilities.
