Rudman & Winchell LLC, a general practice law firm, is searching for a highly motivated and experienced Attorney specializing in Civil Litigation to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling civil litigation cases, exemplary communication skills, and a dedication to providing top-tier legal representation to clients.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.
- Manage the entire litigation process, from discovery to trial preparation.
- Negotiate settlements and handle mediation and arbitration proceedings.
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff for efficient case management.
- Maintain current knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Provide exceptional client service, keeping clients updated on case progress.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of Maine.
- Experience in civil litigation with strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines while being detail-oriented and organized.
- Commitment to high ethical standards and client confidentiality.
- Willingness to travel locally and statewide for client needs.
- Availability to work more than 40 hours per week when required.
