Engineer III - Tier 1

Job Description

We are looking for an Engineer III - Design EE to join the EarthScope Consortium team in Socorro, New Mexico. As an Engineer III, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing technical geophysical projects of moderate complexity, collaborating with engineers, and implementing field operations at various locations. This role involves providing technical expertise, proposing innovative solutions, training team members, and ensuring project compliance with EarthScope's standards and mission.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead on geophysical projects and technologies.
• Set strategic plans for project execution and scope.
• Identify and solve complex technical issues creatively.
• Integrate geophysical technology, firmware, and software.
• Generate technical documentation and project budgets.
• Build alliances with other departments and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience with geophysical sensors or networks.
• Proficiency in geophysical data processing and field operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Environment

This role involves physical demands and fieldwork in challenging conditions, requiring travel and health/safety precautions.
