Job Description - Full-Time Store Associate (New Store)

We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Associate to join our new store team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our store operates smoothly by handling merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. By providing exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills as outlined for the role.
  • Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, assist shoppers, and communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Provide feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to management.
  • Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy.
  • Adhere to cash policies, company procedures, and security measures.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
  • Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior retail experience is a plus.
  • Combination of education and experience is acceptable.
