Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Production Maintenance Technician to join AVTEC FINISHING. This jack-of-all-trades position requires mechanical aptitude to handle various tasks in our manufacturing/production facility, including carpentry, electrical, welding, machine maintenance, plumbing, and HVAC. The primary responsibility is to ensure continuous operation by addressing mechanical issues promptly and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance tasks, including basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with experienced maintenance personnel for complex tasks.
• Be available for on-call shifts during nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Trade school training or equivalent experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
• Understanding of safety procedures and ability to read blueprints.
• Welding skills with various equipment.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Compensation

Wage Range: $26-$32/hour, based on experience and training. $1,500 Signing Bonus for new hires. 1st Shift hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.
