Community Based Therapist
About the Position:
A clinical adaptation of Multi-Systemic Therapy, MST-EA is a promising practice that provides intensive individual treatment for transition age youth (ages 17-26) with both a recent history of criminal involvement and behavioral health challenges. The Therapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, engaging with clients and families, and ensuring client progress and safety.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments on referred young adults.
- Develop trauma-informed, strength-based treatment plans.
- Engage primary caregivers and key social network members.
- Facilitate home- and community-based treatment.
- Maintain safety assessments and comprehensive safety plans.
- Administer urine drug screens and ensure proper discharge planning.
- Participate in trainings and supervision meetings.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field and required license.
- Experience with adolescents, CBT, and preferred therapies.
- High energy level and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to provide transportation.
Employment Details
- Full-time position.
- Location: In-home or in-community clinical services in NYC.
- Salary: $60,000-65,000 per year.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 403B, CEU’s, clinical supervision.
