Job Description
The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is a critical role responsible for providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and internal resources. The role requires a solid understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. The Technician must represent Flexential in a professional and technical manner during interactions with customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Provide timely resolution and/or escalation of Facility and customer issues.
- Maintain a professional attitude and conduct while performing data center duties.
- Troubleshoot and document technical issues using Flexential's ticketing system.
- Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies, processes, and procedures.
- Perform local access and escort for vendors and carriers.
- Assist with physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
- Maintain Data Center cleanliness and perform Facilities Rounds.
- Manage badge access security system and perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for providing exceptional customer experiences.
- Understanding of Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
- Self-starter with strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail, meeting commitments, and deadlines.
- Preferably 1 year of experience in an IT support environment.
- Network +, Security +, CCNA, Microsoft MCP, or MCSA certifications are desirable.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work aloft, in cold temperatures, and lift heavy objects.
- Capable of climbing ladders and installing cabling.
