Data Center Operations Technician I

We are looking for a Data Center Operations Technician I to join Flexential, a dynamic and fast-paced organization. In this role, you will provide physical and Level II technical support to our customers and resources. The position requires expertise in Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. The ability to handle customer interactions with professionalism and technical proficiency is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve Facility and customer issues promptly.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while carrying out data center duties.
• Troubleshoot and document technical issues using the Flexential ticketing system.
• Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies and procedures.
• Provide local access and escort for vendors and carriers.
• Perform remote hands work for internal and external customers.
• Support 24/7 operations with the flexibility to work various shifts.
• Assist in physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
• Ensure Data Center cleanliness and escalate relevant information.
• Process inbound and outbound shipping/receiving.
• Operate Badge Access Security System and assist the Critical Infrastructure Manager as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to work.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience in an IT Support environment is preferred.
• Education: AA, BS, or High School Diploma.
• Desirable certifications: Network+, Security+, CCNA, Microsoft MCP, or MCSA.

Physical Requirements

• Able to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Comfortable working in cold environments.
• Capable of handling pallet jacks and lifting heavy objects.
• Proficient in cabling installation and management.

Base Pay Range: ($19.33- $22.67) Base salary range subjected to candidate's experience, location, and qualifications.

Shift Details: This position involves working the THIRD Shift, Sun-Weds from 9pm-7am. Initial three-month training on first shift (7am-3pm) followed by a 10% shift deferential upon transitioning to the third shift.
