Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's overall cleanliness. Your outstanding customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively with the ALDI team will enhance the shopping experience for our customers.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Weekly Hours: 32-40 hours
- Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with store management
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and any operational issues
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Comply with company policies while respecting document and data confidentiality
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Proficiency in operating a cash register and store equipment
- Capable of general cleaning duties and following company policies
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently
- Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in retail is a plus
- Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
