Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at First Student, the leading school transportation provider in North America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure safety and readiness for our daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment components such as brakes, suspensions, and transmissions.
• Ensure accurate completion of work orders and provide mobile emergency services support.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required; willingness to obtain CDL while employed.
• Minimum 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or technical school education.
• Own a mechanic’s tool set and be willing to participate in ASE certification program.
• Subject to a drug test as part of the hiring process.
