Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at First Student, the leading school transportation provider in North America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure safety and readiness, while also providing guidance to junior technicians. Responsibilities
- Lead preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and DOT maintenance checks.
- Diagnose and repair various vehicle components like brakes, suspensions, and drivetrains.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders and provide mobile emergency services support.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or relevant technical school education.
- Possession of a mechanic's toolset and willingness to participate in the ASE certification program.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL while employed.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical examination.
