Job Description

At Kate's K9 Pet Care, we take pride in the quality of our care and are looking for responsible, professional, and trustworthy individuals who love pets to join our team as a Dog Walker. This position provides the flexibility to earn as much money as you want while ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients' pets.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and positive walking environment for our clients' dogs.
• Provide detailed and attentive care for our clients' cats and other small animals, such as guinea pigs, gerbils, and hamsters.
• Perform house-sitting duties as requested by the client.
• Transport client pets as needed.
• Remain flexible in availability to meet changing client demands, with a preference for evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

Compensation

$19 - $21/hour (based on previous staff wages and potential earning bonuses).

$2200 - $2700/month, with 30-minute visits paid at starting rate of $14-$15 per visit, increasing to $16 per visit within the first year.

Time and a half pay for holidays and short-notice requests, with 100% of client tips going to staff.

Bonuses for client/staff referrals, reaching performance goals, and obtaining Pet First Aid and Pet CPR certifications.

Work materials provided include treats, poop bags, and other necessary items.

This position services Alexandria, Arlington, Fort Washington, Lorton, National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Waldorf, and nearby communities, with staff members scheduled to work in one area consistently.
