Description:
Johns Manville, a leading manufacturer, is looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager in Milan, OH. As part of the team, you will develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. You will drive effective safety programs for the plant, manage the HSE team's performance, and ensure safety compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Identify and communicate facility risks and drive risk reduction initiatives
- Lead incident investigations and facilitate closure of corrective actions
- Assess EHS structure, identify potential staff, and provide safety leadership training
- Coordinate safety activities, develop action plans, and manage safety committee
- Drive continuous improvement in environmental monitoring and compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulatory standards
- Strong organizational, training, and Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work effectively with management and production workforce
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
