Job Description
We are seeking a talented Epic Health Information Management Analyst to join our EHR Services team at Optum, a part of UnitedHealth Group. In this role, you will play a vital part in improving healthcare outcomes through technology, specifically in the domain of electronic health records (EHR). As an Epic HIM Analyst, you will lead configuration changes, mentor team members, and contribute to software upgrades and enhancements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage HIM configuration changes and builds, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
- Translate user requirements into design specifications and review with clients for accuracy.
- Lead Epic software upgrade initiatives and enhancements.
- Act as a liaison between Operations, IT, and Third-Party Systems.
- Provide support during go-lives and system upgrades.
- Develop relationships with end users, customers, and business partners.
Required Qualifications
- Active certifications in at least two Epic HIM areas.
- 5+ years of client experience and 4+ years of Epic healthcare experience.
- Subject Matter Expertise in relevant applications and knowledge of revenue cycle metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed Epic CEE and knowledge in policies, procedures, and team management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

- In-depth knowledge of Epic EMR and implementation lifecycle.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver with excellent customer service.
