Facilities Equipment Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Facilities Equipment Engineer to join our team at Middle River Aerostructure Systems. As a Facilities Equipment Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing industrial equipment availability through predictive and preventative measures to ensure optimal uptime. Your responsibilities will include updating equipment listings, securing critical spares, tracking equipment maintenance, and collaborating with various teams to optimize equipment performance.

Responsibilities

• Maximize equipment uptime by updating and maintaining equipment listings.
• Secure critical spares to support production equipment uptime demands.
• Create and maintain complex Excel files with VBA scripting.
• Maintain appropriate levels of equipment spares and track open purchase orders.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely preventive maintenance.
• Establish equipment health boards and assist in predictive maintenance using advanced techniques.
• Assist in budget development and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA tools.
• Basic understanding of CNC and Robotic equipment.
• Ability to read OEM drawings and Electrical Schematics.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience in Aerospace Assembly, Machine Shop, or Composites Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD design and Additive Manufacturing.
• Inventory management experience and familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Skills in machine design and laser alignment techniques.
