Job Description
VitalCore Health Strategies, an industry leader in Correctional Health Care, is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team at Charles B Webster Detention Center in Augusta, Georgia. As an LPN, you will be responsible for delivering quality care within the scope of practice outlined by the state nurse practice act.
Responsibilities
- Utilize a systematic approach to meet the health needs of each patient.
- Implement nursing care within the LPN's scope of practice.
- Assist in developing and implementing teaching plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and care for wounds.
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to medical staff.
- Document actions in medical records.
Requirements
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Current LPN license in the state of employment.
- Active CPR certification.
- Knowledgeable about state laws and regulations.
- Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies.
