Job Purpose

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for various duties, from patient intake to patient care, under general supervision in an outpatient clinical setting. Responsibilities include providing stellar customer service, initial patient triage, assisting with direct patient care, and performing routine medical procedures as per established clinical protocols. We are willing to potentially train the right candidate who is enthusiastic and fits well with our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to enhance customer satisfaction and relationships.
  • Stay up to date on policies and procedures.
  • Obtain patient histories and update patient charts.
  • Call patients with normal test results.
  • Maintain a clean work area and patient exam rooms.
  • Perform routine medical procedures under established protocols.
  • Maintain exam room supplies.
  • Practice safety, environmental, and infectious control methods.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with company policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Medical Assistant or equivalent clinical training and certification preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with providers, patients, and the public.
  • Strong time management and problems solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity.

Working Conditions

This position involves long hours in both sitting and standing positions.
