As a Preferred Accounts Manager at Johns Manville Corp, a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family, you will play a crucial role in managing business development, selling efforts, and account management activities for key clients in the roofing systems division. The position requires developing deep relationships with existing and potential Preferred Account clients, collaborating with various internal teams, and driving business growth through strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish JM as an industry leader and trusted partner for clients.
  • Cultivate and convert prospect accounts into long-term JM Preferred Account clients.
  • Develop multi-level relationships with key decision-makers and increase JM's market share.
  • Support sales team efforts and provide enhanced services for client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of roofing/construction industry experience.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • 3-5 years of business development or national account sales experience.
  • Ability to navigate complex selling situations and formulate strategies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and meet physical job requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial building owners, roofing consultants, and specifiers.
  • Proficiency in advanced sales techniques and industry associations.
  • Expert communication skills and knowledge of competitor products.
