Job Description

We are looking for a Punch Press Setup Technician to join our team at Select Industries Corp. As a setup technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing, setting up, and operating punch press machines to fabricate metal parts to precise specifications. In this role, you will handle machine setup, material loading, quality control, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety compliance. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with team members to enhance operational efficiency and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine setup, including tooling installation and configuration.
• Material handling to ensure accurate punching.
• Quality control to monitor parts' dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Machine operation for efficient and safe production.
• Routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Experience in punch press setup and operation in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with various types of punch press machines.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform bending and reaching tasks.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise and varying temperatures.
