Safety Officer-SPR

Job Description

We are looking for a Safety Officer to join our team at Career Systems Development Corporation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe environment for students and staff in compliance with Job Corps regulations, OSHA Standards, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive safety plans for the center.
• Provide training to staff on fire safety and Blood Borne Pathogens.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment.
• Facilitate safety committee meetings and analyze incidents to identify trends.
• Coordinate emergency drills and inspections with relevant agencies.
• Prepare reports and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Design and deliver safety orientation programs for new staff and students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of security or fire safety experience.
• Knowledge of standard security procedures, fire prevention, and OSHA requirements.
• Valid State driver's license.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
• CPR/FA Certification.
