Join a fantastic product team passionate about enabling customer journeys with frictionless, defect-free credit card capabilities. As the Product Owner for the Card Posting & Billing (CPB) Platform and Aggregator team at Discover Financial Services, you will work closely with Business and Technology to drive priority initiatives across Discover Card. This role involves owning foundational, business-critical aggregator APIs, driving the product vision, and spearheading the modernization roadmap. Success in this position requires a strong technical understanding, effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the delivery of a product outcome that aligns with stakeholder and customer requests while understanding and balancing various business constraints.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize product features based on customer insights, feedback, financials, compliance, and risk data.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the product team, create and maintain key product documentation, and define non-functional requirements.
  • Build and maintain the product backlog, ensure alignment with OKRs, oversee product adherence to compliance and risk management standards, and drive continuous product optimization.
  • Work with business technology to develop technical features for system optimization and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Create a culture of accountability and ownership within the product team, manage dependencies, and foster strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business.
  • 4+ years’ experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related fields. In lieu of a degree, 6+ years’ experience is acceptable.

Bonus Points

  • Understanding of the agile mindset and experience with the scrum delivery framework.
  • Proficiency in agile management tools like Jira and process management tools such as IBM Blueworks Live.
