Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join the ALDI team. As a critical part of our store, you will be responsible for merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
• Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with store management.
• Contribute feedback to management regarding products, inventory, and other store matters.
• Participate in store inventory procedures and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures.
• Follow company policies, maintain security and confidentiality standards.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Physical Demands

- Stocking and shelving merchandise up to 45 pounds.- Ability to perform various physical tasks in the store environment.
- Sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk as required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Efficient cashiering and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in operating store equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness standards and follow company policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales if necessary.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is an advantage.
• A combination of education and relevant experience is acceptable.
