Job Description

We are looking for a Substitute Residential Advisor-SPR to create a supportive environment for residents in student housing, aiding in their adjustment to campus life and fostering positive interactions with peers. The role involves overseeing dormitory operations, providing guidance and informal counseling to students, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist students in daily activities and personal development.
• Document student records and progress accurately.
• Facilitate group discussions on life skills and conflict resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in dormitory facilities.
• Participate in emergency response and ensure student safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in education or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Standing, sitting, seeing, and hearing frequently.
• Walking, bending, and flexibility occasionally.
• Climbing, lifting 50 pounds, and driving seldomly.

Environmental Demands

• Ability to operate office equipment.
• Occasionally works alone; 85% of time spent working with others.
• Reading and writing skills at a college level.
