Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. As an essential part of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper collection and transport of specimens, maintaining quality care standards, and promoting service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and teamwork within the workplace.
• Collect specimens following laboratory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with care providers regarding patient data.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Prioritize workload and assist colleagues to ensure productivity.
• Perform specimen accessioning, infection control, and drug screen collection.
• Respond to emergent conditions and provide phlebotomy services in a patient-centered manner.
• Engage in self-evaluation and continuous improvement of skills.
• Show accountability for the quality of patient care.
• Support laboratory growth and service excellence.
• Collaborate with other departments and perform arterial punctures as required.
• Complete other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience.
• Experience working in a clinical setting.
