Tradesman Plumber

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Plumber Level I to join our Service Experts HVAC and Plumbing team at Levy & Son. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for a wide range of plumbing duties, including installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations, excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters.
• Conduct inspections to identify and diagnose plumbing issues.
• Interpret blueprints to plan plumbing system layouts.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for projects.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning.
• Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior plumbers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plumbing apprenticeship preferred.
• Proven experience as a Plumber Helper or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes and practices.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Valid plumbing license/certification is preferred.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.

Working Conditions

• Position involves physical labor and may require working in confined spaces or at heights.
• Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, depending on the project.
• Exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
