Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join ALDI's warehouse operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in efficiently receiving, selecting, and delivering products to our stores, ensuring our customers receive high-quality products. Our warehouse employees work fewer than 30 hours per week in both ambient and temperature-controlled areas. A comprehensive training program is provided to equip our associates with the necessary skills for success.
Responsibilities
- Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
- Relocate merchandise in accordance with product handling guidelines.
- Sort, organize, load, and unload merchandise for shipment.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
- Participate in inventory counts and communicate effectively with peers and leadership.
- Provide input for process improvement.
- Inspect product quality and report safety concerns to management.
- Follow company policies and procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Operate equipment safely and according to guidelines.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Demonstrate conscientiousness, teamwork, resilience, drive for success, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies.
- Excellent communication and basic arithmetic skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently or in a team environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Move merchandise throughout the warehouse.
- Engage in various physical activities in different temperature environments.
- Operate powered industrial equipment safely.
